The Super Fortress

Don't ask me to use the search function on this one because I already have.

It is time we get the B-29. Perk it out somewhere in the 500 point range. No NUKE. NO Formation.

Its better than the other B29 post. I also agree on no nuke or formation and yes on perks.
BUT!
1)the wingspan is huge, would not fit in Bomber hangers and making them larger would mean easier targets.
2) napalm in the game would make framerates 10 times worse than with a smoke round...
3) be almost impossible or uncommon for a fighter to engage it at high alt.

sorry but if we EVER get it it wont be for at least another 5 years.

No way 500 perkies if we dont get a formation. I wouldn't even pay 10 perks for it if we didn't get a formation.

p.s. The B-29 wasn't all that great you know? Only thing it could do was fly high and drop lots of bombs... Most people in bombers wont try to climb to 30,000 feet anyways.

From what I recall, the armour was as bad on it as the B-24.

If a B-24's #3 engine catchs fire or goes out, your gonna go down because you lost hydraulic pressure (and electricity I think)

500 points? At least give a formation, a B-29 isn't like a normal bomber its almost twice the size, its gonna get spotted. It be better making it 80 perks, whats the difference? The plane goes around 200-250mph, its slow at 20k alt, its a normal bomber with more payload, besides most noobs can't aim.

the new filter system which changes bullpoop to bullpoop and boink to boink etc.  Should change Superfortress, Super Fortress, B-29 and B29 to "fluffy bunnies" and nuke, nook or atomic bomb to carrots.

This is much better: -

If a B-24's #3 engine catchs fire or goes out, your gonna go down because you lost hydraulic pressure (and electricity I think)

Lift makes the airplane fly, not hydraulic pressure. The B-24 will fly fine (at reasonable weights) with any one of the four engines out (I've flown it on 2 engines in training).  The #3 engine does have the engine driven hydraulic pump however there is both an electric auxiliary and a manual backup hydraulic pump that will let you get the gear and flaps down and give you some pressure for the brakes.  As far as electrical power, there is a generator on each of the engines.

Fate whispers to the warrior "You cannot withstand the storm" and the warrior whispers back "I AM THE STORM"

Yes, but if you cannot control the B-24 at high alts with cross-winds, where are you going to go? You got no trim. You got no control, it would be very easy to lose control of your plane. A different engine (dont know which one) definately made Electricity go out. May have been the #3 engine.

The vast majority of WWII aircraft had mechanically controlled flight surfaces, not electric/hydrolic ones. Even in Korea I think the MiG15 had mechanically controlled flight surfaces (wires & cables). Not sure about the B24, though.
