Problems with working as a team... a solution

Hi guys,

I fly as a rook, part of the 308 sqd. (Polish) "City of Crakow" RAF , very often I have seen requests for a bomber to take out AA or for a goon to drop troops at a specific airfield go unfullfiled for quite some time.  I myself have begged for minutes to get a goon over at some airfield I just bombed to no avail, I give up after 10 minutes of begging or auger and get a goon myself.  I can understand that some guys just want to fly a fighter and shoot down enemy planes, sometimes people goto a field where we have an advantage just to get a few kills, ignoring a field on the other side that is getting rolled by the enemy because there are not enough numbers to make a even fight out of it.

Here is my solution...Let each side get some sort of "Air Marshal" , this Air Marshal would set limits of fighters and bombers at each field, allowing teams to coordinated better attacks, and preventing players from flying out of fields where they are not needed.  The Air Marshal can also get a special colored text, something like HiTech's pale blue where he could give updates and request players to move to a different airfield, let players know where we are being bombed and where we need help.  With tanks coming out soon, maybe give the Air Marshal access to a few "strips" of minefields and tank traps that can he can place strategically . Im sure we can think of a few more things for an Air Marhal to do.

Things I do now want to happen are for one person to ruin anothers play by telling them they HAVE to go somewhere, or they HAVE to fly a bomber, I am not for 100% control here, just more of a guiding hand, If implemented it would have to be done very carefully but I think it would enrich the game experience here.

Though I know you meant this with the very best intentions, I cannot imagine a feature I would want implemented less.

There are all types of reasons to fly; coordinated attacks are among them, but not the only reason. I don't want or need someone telling me how to spend my precious little free time. No offense.

In my mind this is what squad activity is about. This is a collection of like-minded individuals who band together for the very purpose of doing what you discuss. This can indeed be a very formidable force, and doesn't require the unwilling participation of the whole arena.

Agreed Kieren.

IMHO there are few things more irritating then someone coming in and trying to boss the whole country around.
“ALL TO F4!!!” “COVER ME!!!!” “YOU ALL SUX!!!”

The way to do it, again in MHO, is to tell others what you do and invite anyone who wants to along.
“A b26 raid to F4 is going from F10 in 3 minutes.” “Goon coming in to F4 low from the North.” “otw to F4 hvy.”

If anyone wants to help or fly a (semi)planed mission they will show up and do there thing, as escorts, bomber or designated drivers for the drunks.

If no one shows, there don't seem to be any interest. Folks do what the want, no use screaming about it.

This is not a flame on anyone, just my observations.
