#1 I'm going to have to quit thinking one solution fits all problems. Otherwise it is known as the Hammer Theory. Back in the day the Hammer was the all purpose tool!
I know that one.
When I bought my first house a friend of mine and I were installing a dishwasher and an over-the-range microwave. We got the dishwasher done easily in what seemed like minutes, then came the microwave. We aligned and mounted the brackets and made sure the exterior exhaust for the range fan lined up and then we had a h@ll of a time hoisting it into place and securing it. I mean we were having trouble with this thing.
We finally got it done and I backed away and it was crooked! Being somewhat of a perfectionist and being my new house that just wasn't going to do but my friend had other ideas. So, while we were arguing, another friend walked in, assesed the situation, walked over to the microwave with a hammer and gave it two whacks on the bottom left side. Fixed! It was perfect.
