This is a GREAT game, it still has a long way to go (dive breaks and flaps on me 38!!), but what it is now is damn impressive. I applaud HT and team.

But the person who decided to ask for $30 a month deserves a kick on his 6.

... no make them 2 kicks.
I see many dedicated players flying, I meet the same people every time I play, it is wonderful, it is cool, it makes me wonder if they have any life at all.... and it makes me wonder how the heck they can afford it!
I know that there are THOUSANDS out there that see the game, think "hey this is awesome!... DAMN 30 greens a month! I can't afford that! *sniff*" and then their dreams of online play just vanish (or worse, are forced to go to the MS Combat Sim arenas..

).
I've enjoyed this game a LOT in the 2 days I've been flying, but I know I will NEVER pay 30 dollars a month to play ANY game online.. its completely ridiculous to think the average gamer can afford the equivalent of buying a whole new game, or their cable or phone bill each month!. Hello HT!!??, some of us have bills to pay! Some of us are students! Some of us don't have nice paying jobs! Some of us *just* can't hide the extra bill from the Mrs! (no matter HOW much we try, they will find out, and then we shall be assimilated..again

).
What can you do then? Glad you asked me (I'm talking to the voices in my head, dont mind me!)... lower the price? Whoa, that would hurt HT's income! Then lower it *just* a bit? Say, $25 or $20 a month? Nay, that still be too high for the average gamer.
I have this idea, one that will bring TONS of players to AH (even those cocky WB chairborne rangers and the AirWhiners3 pie-lots) by giving the average gamer access to this wonderfull game.... an idea that will KEEP the players interested in the game (as if the game itself wasn't interesting enough), and one that will bring potentially MORE money per month to HT&Co (ah! THAT part got your attention! $#@$ capitalist p*gs

)
Here goes (and if this get implemented, I get lifetime free play..right? hehe):
#1 Lower the monthly payment to an AFFORDABLE $10 a month. Even a $5.40/hour job can pay for that. This will bring THOUSANDS of players into the game.
Since that will barely make up for the lost $20 a month per person, we add this into the mettle:
#2 New account members will be given only ONE (1) plane which they can fly once their account becomes active, besides the Goon of course (after their 2 week free trial).Players will be able to SELECT what plane it will be (otherwise it would really suck to be forced to fly something you dont like.. the player will have the 2 weeks free trial to make up his mind as to which plane he wants to start with) Sounds lame? Just read ahead!
#3 If a player wants to fly other planes, he will have to PURCHASE them (aka, the server wont give the player the option of flying anything BUT the planes he's paid for). Each plane can be priced at $5..something any dweeb out there can afford.
Since HT will be CONTINOUSLY adding new planes, tanks and other combustible goodies, this will give players a WIDE variety of choices. Adding to that, if HT starts releasing specialized versions of planes, like the "elevator rammer" FW-190, or the Ground-Attack version of the B-26, night fighters (radar baby!), or the MERLIN-powered P-38 (PLEASE PLEASE!), then players will begin to accumulate their "collection" of planes.
Hey, it works with Magic the Gathering (card game), and Wizards of the Coast (makers of the card game) is making gazzillions of bucks with this scheme.. jump into the money train HT! Happy gamers (LOTS of them) = money..keep em addicted by adding goodies which they have to purchase=more money 4 U and more fun 4 us players.
There will be NO such thing as a player buying the "super-plane" and kicking everyone's bellybutton to pluto because each plane will be REALISTICALLY modeled. Heck, if HT released the ME262 now on the arena we would ALL be flying it, and all other planes will never be flown (HT: Read at the bottom of this post for yet ANOTHER idea on how to fix such a problem).
And since HT will keep on releasing planes from all sides of the conflict (so far we see SO few italian, African, French, Swiss, Dutch, South American, etc), the pool of choices is highly unlikely to run out. It will keep HT's artists and researchers busy, the programmers IN their dev tools (and OFF my 6, damn you HT! You shoot to good! <S>

) and the income train steadily rolling.
What? Did I hear someone say "Unit/Country Paint schemes for $2 once in a lifetime?" Heck what a good idea! Let me pass it along to HT as well!.
Well, that's my idea, I hope HT and finances take a good look at this. And remember, I get FREE lifetime play (or a ".kill (playername) option hehe) if this gets implemented

Oh, wait the 262 thing, yeah almost forgot!
Unfair advantage planes like the ME-262 should be controlled.
Have a ranking system be implemented. A pilot gets rank according to the # of kills per life (aka, if he gets shot down and KILLED he loses all rank and starts from scratch again) + ground damage modifier (you do the math, I lost me calculator). Say, a pilot with 12 kills gets to fly the Me-262. Players who whine about the unfairness of this should remember that THEY can also achieve this.. and that someday, somehow, someone will ping that $#$@ Me-262 bi*ch out of the sky, and the Me-262 pilot will have to start all over again. The same could be applied to TANKS and any other units HT may put in (Got 12 ground kills, Gimme a King Tiger, here Sherman, Sherman.. muahahahA!

)
This will give players an ADDED incentive to STAY alive (aka, avoid head-ons, collisions, bansai charges, etc). People in other threads have been whining about HO's...well, here's your solution.. stay alive, kill, fly the Me-262 and kill every damn banana that you see HO'ing (unless you're stupid enough to HO's in a 262.. it will happen, and everyone will laugh.. YOU! You know im talking about you!

)
If my original BILLING idea is implemented, then a pilot with, say, 6 kills would get to fly ANY other plane (except the 262, he would need 12 kills for that) in the arena. Yes my man, get 6 kills and have a taste of something you could permanently fly for just $5 bucks.... Get the drift HT?
Well, enough rambling for now, coffee's out and the withdrawl symptoms have begun....
