The Dark Knight
« on: July 18, 2008, 02:39:36 AM »
The Dark Knight was amazing! Keith Ledger did an astounding performance as The Joker. He did the crazy aspect of it perfectly, I was truely impressed.
I don't believe there will be another Batman movie though, I felt they wrapped it up at the end of the second film. Not to mention there aren't really any good Villians left. Possibly 'The Riddler' but that's the only possibility considering these new movies were much more believable than the original.

What are you talking about!  Let's get Michael Bay in there to direct and we'll put Halle Berry in there as Cat Woman!

I saw it at midnight... only bad thing was it was a distraction for me knowing HL is dead while watching him act as the Joker.  I think it limited how immersed I allowed myself to get into the movie.

Why couldn't they make another? The villains in the Clooney/Kilmer Batman movies don't count, because those movies were tragedies and shouldn't be considered official Batman movies. This is like a totally new series... they could introduce a great Mr. Freeze in the next one. He's actually one of my favorite Batman villains, and no one does him right: he's not good or evil, all he cares about is his frozen wife.

I hate when villains show how 'evil' they are by killing someone for no reason, just so the audience knows they're the bad guy.

Henchman: I'm sorry Mr. Freeze, Batman got away! I won't let this happen again!
Mr. Freeze: I know it won't. Your assets have been... frozen. *pulls out ice-gun*
Henchman: Noooooooo! *dies*

Assuming the Joker dies, this makes the second batman movie he died in. Since he got resurected for this one there is nothing prohibiting him from coming back for the next one, using a different actor of course.

I wouldn't say he was resurrected since this line of Batman movies has little in common with the Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, Batman & Robin & Batgirl & Batdog.

It's the same character. He can't die in two different movies in different times and have a logical progression. Now you explain how he could be in two different movies when he dies in each one. BTW it was sarcasm directed at the movie industry.

Yeah... posting at 3:30 was probably a bad idea, can't believe I made that mistake.

The new batman movies have a more believable aspect to them, although they aren't completely believable. The Penguin I can't see because man raised by Penguins doesn't really fit into the new movie characteristics. The other villians seemed to be mutants.
