Dark night, there is no light
In the realm of the black magic man
Soul's flight into the cold blight
Of the destroyer's magic land
Poor man, whose spirits are stronger
They're a little too weary
You're starting to...

Blind man, you're suckin' your own blood
Soon black magic's dying
You'd better start crying
Blind man, you're suckin' your own blood
Soon black magic's dying
You'd better start crying

Throw out your evil desire
The dark king's kingdom is
Made out of mire

Throw out your evil desire
The dark king's kingdom is
Made out of mire

Keep on for the kingdom of light
There is no darkness, there is no night

They did a good job developing his character. However seeing The Joker come out of the hospital in the nurse's outfit was a great image.

It's a good thing they developed Two-Face's charactor..cause the Joker is ded for good.

RIP Joker

I doubt that, SirLoin, they'll find someone.

Johnny Depp is the easiest one that comes to mind. My only concern with that is Depp's characters are quirky, but they never carry the same psychotic menace that Ledger brought to the Joker, which is what's need.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

There are plenty of Villians that Depp could play...

Black Mask

Calendar Man

Catman (would make a nice tie-in with Catwoman)

Clayface

Deadshot

The Mad Hatter (I could really see Depp in this role)

Scarface

The list goes on and on... Johnny Depp excells in playing quirky characters and this series is full of them.

Right now the movie is ranked #1 on IMDB.com's top 250 list, it has a 9.6/10 rating with almost 70,000 votes.

I don't know... he was pretty good in the Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

rpm,

The problem with many Batman villains is that they just wouldn't work in the atmosphere Nolan has created. This all but certainly eliminates the Riddler, at least as a MAIN villain. I can see them using Penguin as a small role. Most recently in the comics he's actually a source of information for Batman. However Nolan has already said that Penguin and Catwoman are almost certainly NOT going to appear.

Eagle,

I never saw that, but was wondering about it when I thought about Depp filling Ledger's place.

Another interesting thought would be Robert Downey Jr.

Sax, I searched the entire list of Batman villians and those were the ones that had Johnny Depp stamped on them. If they continue to follow the dark side of the series, any of the villians I listed would fit. Black Mask, Mad Hatter and Scarface are the top 3 on my list, whether Depp plays them or not. They are the darkest villians of the series.

Damn movie was about 1/3 too long.

"Kee-rist, get it over with..." Joker was good - but some are talking about a posthumous Oscar down here. Ledger's Joker is good, but it's no "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not gonna TAKE it anymore!"
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

I saw it in IMAX

And first thing I could saw about the picture itself is WOW! The screen is about 3 or 4 times the size of a regular movie screen. If you do see The Dark Knight, see it in IMAX, it's worth it.  :rock :rock :rock :rock

Too bad this movie didn't happen sooner.  The guys doing the watchmen probably could have gotten away with a rendering closer to the book.
