its all down to where to hit certain tanks.

A panzer does only need 2 rounds to disable its turret/engine.  Top down dive right on it.  Takes some manly flying skills to not crash half the time though  but everytime I nail it panzer = disabled.  If you get lucky it might blow them up straight away.

Now T34, shermans and tigers do take more than 2 rounds but again it does vary depending on what hits you get.

Every "tank-buster" in game needs some degree of skill to use it effectively.

Most average guys like me can barely destroy any tank with just one pass, if we can ever destroy it at all. The limited ammunition and weak guns (relatively weak compared to what the Ju87G hauls) means either a precision hit (we won't be called "average" if we can make those sort of shots in the first place), or a prolonged strafing, which comes with a considerable probability of being shotdown by AA fire before actually damaging the tank. Bombing or rocketing is even harder, since we can't hit the broadside of the barn. There's a reason why tards bring Lanc formations at 1k altitude and carpetbomb the entire location to kill just one tank.

Failed attacks, augering, being shotdown by enemy AA, by enemy fighters etc etc.. all pose a significant hazard to the tankbuster role, which, allows some degree of fair chance of survivability to the tanks.

However, the 37mm AT guns on the Ju87Gs are something different altogether. More than 100mm penetration from almost all angles and all likely firing distances - this practically means a one-shot damage/kill capability unlike any of our existing tank busters have. Even the n00bist of n00bs can simply target a tank, auger into it with guns blazing and subsequentially take out a tank successfully, right before they hit the ground, and simply spawn a new Ju87G and do it again and again.

Sure, the n00bs already do that in the game, but their success rate sucks - that's why tankers have some fair chance to use tanks in the first place. However, doing that with a limitless supply of Ju87Gs means the attrition rate soars up to something near 1:1. It's the end of the tank warfare. Returning to the days of AH1 before the tank-armour change, where any passing fighter can just sneeze at a tank and it would lose an engine, get detracked, or blow up.

Unperked Ju87Gs in the game is the fastest road to killing off all tanks from the game and making them hangar queens once more - like old AH1.

 Thus,

 Perks.

The killing potential the plane holds against tanks, is enough to justify a perk despite all its weaknesses.

Tigers will pop with one trigger squeeze. Steep dive, hit were the driver sits. I have a harder time killing the t34 and firefly.

I don't agree that the JU87G would kill off all tank play. It just means that you will have to adjust your tactics a bit as we are now doing when we see a Wirble defending a base. Why cant tanks roll with osti's or wirbles to defend against the tank busters? Those planes are so slow and unmaneuverable that they are very vulnerable to this kind of defense. If a tank were undefended tho...your right...it would be easy prey and maybe historically so.

I thought the B-25 was going to end tankage?

Anyway, there's a couple dudes out there in IL-2s who are total, certain, no-doubt-about-it deth to tanks.

Oh, and re: the Ju 87 - wantage, hoh yes.
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

6 rounds.
The guns were synchronized (they both fired at once, not alternating).

I don't think it would need to be perked.
It has insane destructive power against it's targets, but is nearly defenseless against fighter aircraft.
Just like the Lancaster (actually, the Lancaster is better defended, but still :) ).

Ok guys, if you REALLY want to kill GV's, the only proper way to do it is like this:

So... when do we get the 262's with 50mm cannon?
