CV bug?
« on: July 23, 2008, 02:00:00 PM »
I was in a heavy pony and seen a CV just off Bish A93 on TT map this morning. I dove in and sank the cruiser, flew back to base, rearmed and dropped 6 rockets and 2 thousand pounders on the CV. No fire! Thought that was strange. Reupped heavy again and this time the cruiser was up again. I thought maybe it was a different CV group but I searched the area for a good 30 minutes and was no other around.
Several times in the last couple of weeks I've dropped same ord loadout on CVs with no candle afterwards. I know I'm getting good hits on these things.  :salute

I had a similar experience last night in TT. I upped b-26s and put the entire stick of 500lbers right down the center of the flight deck. I got a radar destroyed message, but no candle. Also, a full stick of 500s from 26s has always sank a cv before. A squaddie behind me finished her with his hellcat, but I still thought is was odd.

Titanic Tuesday cannot support the number of players it gets. This is self-evident. Lag gets very bad. Damage doesn't show up right away sometimes. Text buffers take 15 seconds at other times. A squaddie and I were in 262s closing on B-26s, and I lost my tail BEFORE the B-26s started firing back, then as I was floating down tail-less heard a million hits. My squaddie asked what happened and when I said this he said "Yeah, I saw that. Your tail just came off before he ever started firing".

TT cannot support the number of players it does. It deteriorates the quality of gameplay this game can provide.

I wish they would either do something to the server to better enable it to keep up with all that's happening, or remove TT from the rotation. It's not fun. The server is not like it used to be pre-split, it's just pretending it is.

OP, next time it happens check to see if you hit the radar. I was under the impression that the radar being knocked out is what causes the fire. That said if it was Titanic Tuesday then it was probably major lag. I'm done with TT, incidents like Krusty described have worn on me so it's my day off from AH.

I agree whiteman TT was a good experiment but give us a break there's so many problems with it whats the point. Those large maps were supposed to be used for TT exclusively from what ive heard however we end up playing the same map for weeks at a time. BORING!! I will be takeing tuesdays off myself.
