That is about what I do just as I reach the end of the deck. I have found with full flaps it works best for me on a hard turning CV.

I've not had a hard time taking off or landing on a turning CV.  Landing is sort of fun -- a challenge.  Like Lyric said, full flaps.  Back up too.  Knock loose auto take off.  Move the nose of the plane to get your best view ahead.  Keep it in the middle.

Now, when 20 guys are crashing next to you it gets noisy.  Mute all sound.

(With Rudder Pedals) I can almost always launch a -1D fully loaded successfully from a turning CV - if I realize that it's turning in time.  But there are a couple of very critical seconds during the runout where if it starts turning and I don't catch on in time, I end up clipping something on one side or the other. More importantly though it would be REALLY nice to have some sort of an indicator when you're dead sticking it in with a busted up plane, with no option of a go around - those few seconds of trying to sort it out all while dealing with everything else going on are absolutely critical.

It would be a nice feature, but it's certainly not essential to give us this nonrealistic tool to allow us to better perform our very nonrealistic CV ops in our very nonrealistic CV environment.

Would be more realistic.... How ever could you imagine the moaning as the planes slide off the deck.

Make the ship tilt to the side..
So you want the ship to list as well during the turn? These guys are upset enough as it is by the yawing ship. You also want them to take off cock-eyed facing slightly up-hill? :rofl

Guys, just look for motion relative to the clouds or a nearby land mass.  It's not that hard.  And the decent pilots don't really care one way or the other. They just take off.
