Out of my hands, I will say I rarely see either of those used.
If I was in charge of the skins, I would definitely set up a rotation for all full aircraft. Every 6 months would see a new batch of 15. Some of the P-51s have been in game since fall 2005. The Fw190A8s and Fw190D9s are likewise about full up, I have several I would love to do but I don't want to do all the work and have them just set in a file somewhere.
Skuzzy is in charge of the skins, and he is not JUST in charge of skins he has a bazillion other things on his plate, including monitoring this BBS where grownups and juveniles alike refuse to behave and follow the rules. I cringe whenever I see another post he has to moderate and know that it is taking time away from development at some level and taking time he could be putting into the introduction of more skins into the game.
Personally I wish they would set up a "Skin Committee" based upon volunteers who review the aircraft for HISTORIC accuracy not ability or style. They would also be in charge of maintaining the data base and putting together a list of planes for the rotation. There would still be work on HTC's part to "make" the skin into that which goes into the game, but alot of the leg work would be removed.
