Reporting Chat
« on: July 25, 2008, 02:25:02 PM »
The reporting of chats by players for malicious and unwarranted reasons must stop. This action shows the inability for good sportsmanship and fair play. I was recently reported and contacted HTC. HTC reviewed my case and in turn reversed the restriction.

Talking to a Bish in midwar and he didn't like what I said. I said absolutely nothing that was offensive...maybe just hurt his precious feelings.

i've dealt with htc a couple times on the phone.(for different reasons though....)....they're awsome people to deal with.

that being said, i'm glad for you that they ruled for ya.
but......although you, and subsequently, htc, didn't find whatever you said offensive, i think...like the other guy that posted here......that you may have unknowingly offended the person you were talking to. don;t forget, we deal with all walks of life in here, and from all over the world. although you, and those around you didnt find it offensive, the person who was claiming to be offended, very well may have been. different cultures intrepret things differently.

it sounds like you genuinly didn't mean harm, but i'm just offering a possible outlook.

MOGWHY, I'm only mentioning this because you have such a low post count, and mean it in the best way possible - but bringing this up on the BBS is about 97% certain to turn around and bite you in the soft parts behind.

to those who say "who cares?"  i, for one say, i care... vox populi is teh e-vile...  glad to see HTC step up and correct an abuse of this system by limpwristed milquetoasts.
Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.

I agree MOGWHY.

I've just had a week long vox ban. All because some banana wanted to take the cv to a far dark corner of the map to fester in Obscurity.

I took command to attack a base, and i received a never ending stream of PM's to give up control.

I said no.

Then i get a vox ban!
