(Lawyers, LEO's, Criminals) I need help attaining my mugshot.

I asked the nice gentleman who took it for a copy and he said I needed a subpoena.  Did some googleing and it looks like it's going to be a pain to do.  But I figure that since the newspaper and other news outlets can get their hands on them I should be able to as well.  Anyone know what to do?

Have a buddy of yours go up there and tell them he's a reporter.

if you have a lawyer, get him/her/them to get you one.
if it is for evidence it can be easy to get.

some jurisdictions even post them online since it is public record.
might be able to get a copy at the public records office.

as in cases of law/legal stuff, see your lawyer.

What I dont understand is why they wouldnt turn over a copy of a mugshot to the person who is on the mugshot to begin with.

Or is it that whole power and control complex thing?

like I said COULD fall under, depends on the jurisdiction.
there has been a case or two of "obtaining by false pretenses" for what you suggested, prosecuted under some local law in a local (county) jurisdiction.

LOL, Nope.  Just got picked up on a warrant for an unpaid ticket. (stupid me)  But there were some extenuating circumstances that made the whole ordeal just hilarious.  I'll post up the pic and the full story whenever I can get my hands on it.
