That'd be the engine exuast... Not sure else how to produce that effect.

Actually, I think its a nice effect personally! Looks brilliant!

it was a nice idea dont get me wrong but it could be done to a further extent.....not just a flat out blur but rather some effects....

I didn't think you were bud...   I havn't even looked at a photoshop maunual nor a tutorial. I just push buttons and see what happens 


How do ya get an effect on a blur anyhow?

I would try cropping out an area where you want the heat to be and play with the lighting and motion blur....other than that you have a great idea there!




EDIT: and even try a darkish cloud of gray or even a light brown
