incomplete logon allows indestrable tank

I signed on last night Saturday 26, up a tank panzer. proceeded to fight a few battles. when it dawned on me that I could not be killed.
got a pm from a bish that I was cheating, but I wrote back that I did not know what was happening.
symptoms:  1 on PM's no game ID was displayed.
                 2 I also was not listed on the roster.
                 3 all thou I was reported as smoking no damage was displayed and I could not see any smoke.
                 4 all hits appeared to pass thru as if a ghost.
                 5 any one who shot me after a few hits will get killed and a credit for a kill was awarded even thou I did not return fire.
                 6 did an alt f4 to get out of ace high.

Then logged back in and all appeared normal, roster showed game ID
PM's and text display gameID. any I was then able to be shot and destroyed.

I suspect that durning the logon something occurred to not complete the
process and allowed this problem. about two months another person had the same problem. on a difference map

If you have film, please send it to Skuzzy. I had an incident similar to this where after I loged in I was not on the roster. I was unable to to enter any fights as the only planes available were on CVs and they were not located near any battles.

This happened to me, also.   Same symptoms.  I was filming.  I got a PM from PYRO asking for film.

I, personally, think that when this happens, folks are being randomly selected as Beta testers for CT.  Kinda like an alien abduction.

I saw this a few nights ago with someone else.  An indestructable Panzer.  He was smoking and at least three of us each got several direct hits at point blank range.  He couldn't be killed but was able to kill each of us.  I was the one who originally smoked him but that's all I could do (with a Sherman).  I wrote down his CPID but never did anything about it.

Its happened to me before as well..A Login without any ID..Do yourself a favor if this ever happens,and just relog..will save you trying to explain to people what just happened..unless someone like pyro or skuzzy would rather have you record it..

 But yes it was weird when it happened to me..I could see no ID in roster,yet people were PM'ing me..

I've had something like this. I was playing normally, but then all of a sudden my name wouldn't show up when I talked on country, squad, etc. It was really weird, so I re-logged and everything was fine.

Same thing happened to me a few days ago, but I wasn't indestructible.

I took damage and was shot down, but a few people saw I had no wings, before the final shots brought me down. When I type a response, I saw a blank spot where my name should have been by the message.

Re-logged real quick seemed to fix it.

How did they PM you if you had no game ID?

the game id must have came up when the guy was awarded the kill.
