zone base capture question
« on: July 28, 2008, 07:38:39 AM »
What are the advantages of taking a zone base? And are the time limits on how long buildings, hangers and ack are down, the same as other fields? :salute

I think it is all the same in terms of time. You will inhereted a bunch of new strats that for the most part can not be defended.

Lusche will probably have the correct answer but I will take a whack at it.

If you own an enemy zone base, the fields that are attached to that zone base will suffer when regenerating. If you knock down the troops and supplies at one of the satellite bases, it will take a much longer time for those troops and supplies to regenerate.

As soon as the enemy loses a zone base, all of his bases that are tied to this zone base have considerable longer downtimes for everything that's usually been supplied by the convoy system (Ords, Dar, etc). That's because the according strat factories have changed their ownership.

Of course that works both ways. The coutnry that just captured the zone base has now a source of supplies automatically distributed by the convoys - reduced downtime at every field belonging to that zone base.

EDIT. Slapshot beat the Snail to it ;)

When you take a zone base all the strat factories become yours in that zone. The factories supply all the bases with needed materials lets say, to resupply/ regenerate any downed structures including ack. Certain structures downed (ack/dar/ammo/fuel) now will take up to 2 hours i believe to regenerate. I'm not exactly sure about the rebuild time of each structure but it can be found on the Aces High web site. I'll see if I can paste that info here or you can go to http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/strategy/stratguide.htm

and find it yourself.

WOW seems we all found the thread at one time.
