took the kids to ground zero
« on: July 28, 2008, 04:57:07 PM »
We arrived from the south and into the yard of St. Paul's church(oldest functional building in NY).  We came upon a huge Sycamore stump.  We read the plaque.  It was sombering.

The other day, I was watching Modern Marvels about the Twin Towers that was made only a few months before the Towers fell. It was a very very strange feeling when someone would talk about their job and in the corner it would say "Missing Since 9-11-01 Interview given 4-3-01" I watched the whole show, every worker interviewed had that in the top left corner.

Goto Google and type in "French military victories", then hit "I'm feeling lucky".
Here lie these men on this sun scoured atoll,
The wind for their watcher, the wave for their shroud,
Where palm and pandanus shall whisper forever,
A requiem fitting for heroes

Nice pics, I haven't been on that site since 9-14-01. First and last time I was there. I don't know how I would feel about going back there now, but it's nice to see people still go and remember.

Thanks for the shots. Please post more if you have them.
