Why don't we just make liberals a race and then it can be classified as a hate crime?  :devil

I can't say I hate liberals, or dislike them personally.  I don't agree with their ideology of political thought process, but I have several friends that could be considered "flaming liberals".  You learn to co-exist when you live in Latte Land...

It's already being handled as a hate crime.

I have mixed feelings about this guy being captured. I think it's a shame that he's likely to get off on a sanity issue. He's not worth the oxygen he uses. On one hand his trial or sanity hearing will give some insight as to what his problem is. On the other hand we will now have to warehouse him until he dies. An unnecessary expense.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

If the guy took out corrupt politicians, child molesters, cooked judges or other walking excrement he'd be viewd a bit differently... at least by me.

As it stands, he's just another nutjob. The 'liberal' folks that took him down acted courageously; surprised the hell outta the shooter, no doubt. More evidence Americans are alert and angry.

It was politically motivated violence. That is the definition of terrorism.
That's all.

insanity should not protect the guilty.  I dont care if its religious terrorism, motivated by politics...whatever.  If a person murders innocent person(s) in cold blood then that person should be removed from life, swiftly.

The purpose of terrorism is to incite fear as a means to further ideological goals. That's not the case here. This guy is basically like most other attempted mass murderers -- he's jacked up in the head, wants to die and blames other people for his problems so he wants to take them with him.

I find it ironic that, according to the media, part of what put him over the edge is that his food stamps (given to him by liberal policies) were about to run out or be reduced.  He hated liberals but was happy to take their hand outs.

This guy sounds more like just another idiot that had psychotic tendencies.
Do not attribute to malice what can be easily explained by incompetence, fear, ignorance or stupidity, because there are millions more garden variety idiots walking around in the world than there are blackhearted Machiavellis.

The guy sounds like he just sorta cracked after he lost what little ounce of dignity he had left. I'd put him in for the rest of his life or give him the electric chair.

The more we stretch the defination of a hate crime the more it loses its bark.

Oklahoma was domestic terrorism, Knoxville. Murder.

Tennessee doesn't use the electric chair, it's injection only. And executions are pretty rare, <1 every 10 years.
