New Forum for Humorous Topics

Perhaps we could have a separate forum for topics that without actual substance, other than the intent to entertain other like minded individuals?

If you mean a spam forum, that's an excellent idea. 

We have this on another forum that I use, and it keeps all the spam/worthless posts out of other parts of that forum.

I know that this would become a moderating nightmare, and I'd suggest that to counter the almost-inevitable surge of rule-breaking spam, a new team of moderators would need to be appointed, who would have the power to do the "Please see rule #...." thing, and alert Skuzzy/any other HTC staff member of repeat violations.

Also, if this were implemented, it might be a good idea to:
a) disable all posts in this new forum from adding to post counts, and
b) make it so that the rules relating to double-posting don't apply to this new forum.

I think you have a great idea, but it would move 90% of posts on this BBS (let alone the replies) to the newly created forum.

I suggested this a while back, with a read only archive of all the flight sim dweeb classics from "I go diving down", to Hangtime's cat stories, to really great AARs or machiminas, Loose Rivets comics, etc.  Didn't seem to get any traction.

That's exactly the point.  Up until a few months ago, most everything that was posted here belonged here.  Recently, though, the crap that doesn't belong exceeds that which does.

Please tell me a topic on the first page of the wishlist forum that is so GENIUS and ORIGINAL that everyone needs to read it's sheer brilliance.

Again, most of the "non spam" posts in the wishlist have been said 93283812838279 before, or are so trivial in nature that no one cares about it except the original poster.

There is no need for a separate thread.
