Well I ran into problems with the headset and was never able to follow through with update on the "vr920 first impressions" post.
Sorry about that.
It turns out my problems were hardware, not software/driver issues and I am sending it in for repairs.
Even though I don't qualify for warranty Vuzix thinks they can repair it for a reasonable cost.
Let this be a lesson for anyone wanting to save a few bucks by buying on ebay etc.
Better to pony up a little more money and buy new from Vuzix.
