I cannot figure for the life of me why these computers vary so much in performance at desktop when viewed through windows task manager. The amd 6000 is runing at less than 2% and the Intel E8400 is running at 5% and greater. When all the processes that can be shut down are the intel only drops to 4% at the lowest. The intel has 4 gigs of memory and the amd has 2 gigs. The AMD actually uses the same amount of ram as the intel which is around 400 mb. So what could be causing the difference? I even deleted ZoneAlarm since it was using the most resources via VSMON.
