Middle of the week (ends).
« on: July 31, 2008, 10:22:01 PM »
To begin... DO NOT respond to this post until you have drank far too much to drive…But, not enough to keep you away from the keyboard… As that is the condition that I am currently in, and I wish to be judged ‘by a jury of my peers”…

How many of you do not work the Monday thru Friday routine?…

Myself, I have every Thursday and Friday off. So I celebrate Wednesdays just like everyone else enjoys their Fridays…Well, everyone else who has spent much more than half of their life married to the same (WONDERFUL) person. That is, I do not go out & hit the spots etc. But instead, spend my late night with a video game.

Now, here it is Thursday (my Saturday) night. I have some great snacks. A few too many drinks. (As the very nature of this post will attest.) And the Aces High game to celebrate the pinnacle my weekend…

I tucked the good lady wife into bed… She does, after all, (rudely) have to work during my weekend… And after the kiss-goodnight, she tells me (I must feel sarcastically) to enjoy my ‘game & pretzels’.

I had to stop at the doorway and remind her that I had purchased some Southwestern Ranch Veggie Dip for my pretzels…. How dare she diminish my weekend festivities? The nerve.

So, how many of you work the weekends?

I used to work weekends and nights. Frankly working weekends wasn't so bad. I didn't ahve to fight crowd for things like movies or other entertainment. Working mids sucked big time though.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Depends, sometimes I'm on duty 5 days a week and sometimes 2 but I'm always on call 24/7/365.  I enjoy being on duty and enjoy my time off though so it doesn't matter too much.
