new bomber/trasport
« on: August 01, 2008, 12:04:58 PM »
ok so my friend and i have this awsome idea and we hope all the people that play aceshigh will like this idea.
we were thinking it takes for ever to get from one place to a nother in a jeep or tank. so why not make a four engined plane that can carry five vehicals at a time. as well as field supplys and vehical supplies. also there is a bombay that you can open when you hit the o button and people can drive their tanks and jeeps in the bomb bay. well tell me what you think. and my friend and i hope that you guys down at high tech creations
accept our idea and make it a part of your game  :).      p.s. please support this idea.  :) bye!

Do you mean the Me323? It'll have to wait 2 weeks like CT.

are you one of them guys that drives cross country and doesnt use the vehicle "spawn points"

I remember one guy on the furball lake map driving LVTs constantly as far as he could across the lake and eventually getting killed everytime for hours!

Just use the spawn points and pretend some big imaginary plane flew you there.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

The only aircraft even remotely capable of carrying a tank was the Messerschmitt 323 Gigant, and that was usually limited to a Panzer I/II type. It couldn't carry a Panzer III or IV, so that rules that out completely. Six engines, damn near impossible to fly, and if you think Goons are cannon-fodder, imagine something the size of a modern-day airliner lumbering along NOE at 120 knots.

If you want the ability to move large amounts of supplies, vehicles, etc., your only historically accurate option is a freighter or landing craft, LCT, LST, LCV, etc.

It's great that people are excited and come up with new ideas, but I think folks should research their requests thoroughly and suggest things that will fit into the parameters of the game, not just locally, but globally, and then formulate the need for a new type of vehicle. If there's something already in the game that can do the job, why replicate and reinvent the wheel? This involves either knowing WW2 military technology and history, or researching it.

Just my opinion...

Correct me if I'm wrong, But it does exist just not common. Brits had gliders that even carried light tanks. And I'm sure the US/germans had it but it wasn't used too commonly...
