That, and George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, never had congressional experience. Niether did Grant, Eisenhower, Reagan, T Roosevelt, F Roosevelt, Wilson, Carter, or WJ Clinton.
Lincoln was an undistinguished one term Illinois Representative, serving two eight month sessions. 16 months and maybe 320 days of legislative days, if that much.
sorry, no comparison in my opinion. The first 3 on your list shouldn't even be mentioned as that was in the early stages of our country and fledgling government.
Obama will have all major decisions made for him by "advisors". that is what is happening know.
comparing Obama to any of the above is very poor judgement.
Carter was argueably a poor president and Clinton was impeached.
The rest were statesmen and patriots. Most had military experience.
How many of our allies and enemies for that matter would consider Obama either a statesman or a patriot.
Obama has no ideas on how to fix things, only a steady stream of complaining about the current situation.(depending on the stage he has at the moment)
Hillary would have been a better choice than Obama. At least she has many years of government knowledge and experience to help her.
No single candidate has all the answers, but Obama doesn't seem to have any.
