to be blunt the animated water looked terrible on all but the best systems. Its better without it, what i reallly wish is that plane hitting the water at speed would disintergrate and cause a big splash, rather than explode.

Yeah, and I want the F8F Bearcat, even though the A/C never saw combat...neither did the RV 8, but it's part of the game. Guess we both stand an equal chance of getting our "wish".  :D

small clip for ya.

Interesting tidbit: "An unmodified production F8F-1 set a 1946 time-to-climb record (after a run of 115 feet) of 10,000 feet in 94 seconds. The Bearcat held this record for ten years until it was broken by a modern jet fighter (which could still not match the Bearcat's short takeoff distance").

First of all, Batfink's idea was an actual graphics feature which would be nice to implement. Just get rid of the explosion at least, don't even need to model any kind of disintegration (IMO).
Second, arguing for an aircraft by saying the RV8 is part of the game is a)wrong b) borderline idiotic, to be quite honest and frank. The RV8 is NOT meant to be part of the game, it was modeled by HTC to test the flight model against it's real RV8.
Third you hijacked the thread.

Hmmm, ok bunky...here's my "take" on your sarcastic remarks.

"first of all":This IS the "Wish" forum.

"second": MY comment was NOT argumentative...OR based on a "personal attack"....bunky!

"third": YOU are the one that has "hijacked" the thread simply by making your reply a (sarcastic)  personal attack.

I really don't care WHY the RV8 is in game, fact-of-the-matter is it IS there!  Also, if you weren't so "short-sighted" you'd realize that there are benefits to having a separate Arena for "other Aircraft"...sorta expands your options as far as future game upgrades are concerned.

Due to the fact that I'm a gentleman at heart, I won't really tell ya what I think of your post..but I suspect you can "read between the lines".  :furious

Bring on the F8F  :aok
