personally I LOVED by first car, 1980 Monte Carlo Custom. White with blue interior, console shift, bucket seats, wood grain console and dash, full gauge cluster. If I ever win the lottery I am going to find one, rebuild it to look factory stock, but beef up the drive train and make it a kick-ass sleeper :aok

My father had the '79 version of that exact M.C.  Whenever I drove it I'd flip the aircleaner lid over and it sort of sounded like a low compression Ferrari, lawlz.

I had a Chevy Impala with that same engine. I would go into parts stores and they would laugh at me when I told them the engine size. Told one parts guy to go look at the sticker under the hood. Only then did he look it up and was surprised there was actually an engine that size listed in his books.

I called him a moron after I paid for my parts, thats something I would apologize for if I ever saw him again.

Wasn't sold but run over by a B-Double while parked. :cry
Same colour, and probably in a bit better nick than mine was.

Darn thing only cost me 18 grand back in the 80's it's worth a chitload nowadays. COPIES sell for almost as much as what I paid for mine back then.
I've owned three other hatchback Toranas, one with a wild 208 red motor, one with a mild 350 (second favourite! :D ) and one UC with a blue 202. None came close to the A9X for sheer class.

No, because they only made 500 of them each year to qualify for racing in group 3 competition.

i never much liked the toranas always prefered fords, but i did  had a  265 hemi/4 speed cl charger back in the mid 80's for a brief time that i wish i had kept.

I had a nice Ford Hardtop with a worked 302 and rock solid suspension. It was one of the first XA hardtops off the line but the previous owner had done it up like an XB GS. I sold it once I stripped it down for repainting and saw the condition of the front pillars. I wish now I'd taken the time to repair the rust and restore it, they are worth a pretty penny nowadays too.

9 motorcycles before I had to leave Townsville... one Titan 500 with power pipes that would tear arms from sockets in powerband.
2 Motorcycles in Adelaide, (well not sold but "lost" by a junkie ex :furious ) one highly modded CB900 hill racer and one suzuki 1100 EFI turbo straight line beast from psychopathic hell.
Just for the record I'm going to shoot you down now for reminding me of it :p
