Which style is more fun?
« on: August 06, 2008, 02:11:46 AM »
tnb or bnz! discuss!

I found both very enjoyable and has its own envelope. Both has its own unique characteristic that are easy to perform but very hard to master. They both compliment each other in its own style, BnZ can't go well w/o knowing how to TnB. TnB is fine for 1 vs 1, but when it comes to 1 vs 4 the pilot might needs to adapt to bnz or E fight to make it out. Anyway, just my 8 months experience.

Depends on the fighter I am in.

If I am flying an A6M then turn and burn is more fun, and boom and zoom is often frustrating.

If I am flying an Fw190 boom and zoom becomes fun (not boom and run away) but pure turn and burn can be frusterating.

I did a bit of everything yesterday. I TnB'd w/ my 109K4, BnZ'd with some 190A8s and 190Doras, and even did a combo of both with a P-51.  :rock :rock

If you want to discuss style, you need to talk to the Lgay pilots.  Their shoes always match their flight suits.   :D

Nothing is better in AH than blowing up some BnZ weenie as you reverse on them.  Even better if they have just ran from a fight with you, and come back to try and pick while you are engaged... oh that is sweet.

I spent a lot of time trying to get down n dirty w/ my D9. I can't kill  anything, but it also take my enemies a good 2-3 min to kill my D9. I've heard there was some really good D9 stick at tnb, I forgot his name. I tried to look for some of his movies but I couldn't find anything. He quitted maybe 3 years ago. <-- still looking for a good D9 tnb movie so I can take some note.

Hmmm... only thing i can think of here is Nath - but he flew 190A-8.  Possibly you are thinking of him?

I can't recall anyone like that for the D-9.
