Lockheed PV / B-34 Lexington

Compared with the A-28 and A-29 Hudson the Ventura was more powerful and better armed, but it had a shorter range because it did not carry more fuel. Pv1s were the first bomber to attack mainland Japan after the Doolittle Raid. There bombing raids kept a lot of troops and supplies tied up in the Northern Kuriles. Would be a nice plane but we have enough American planes as is.  :(

It wasn't. Could carry 3000lb of bombs, 1 torpedo or 6 depth charges.

The Ju88 and the Ju87 aren't heavy bombers. In any case, if we get any more bombers, they better not be American.

PV-1 was more like a maritime Patrol Bomber. Pretty specialized.

If you want to stay in the same family the LOCKHEED HUDSON bomber saw more action with more units around the Globe.
