Vans, that's an artwork for the box of a diecast plane from a company that puts out highly unreliable paint schemes. It's a toy's boxtop.

Not a reliable source.

The only Me262 that I'm aware of that can carry DT's is the Me262B-1a (night fighter). The pylon on the Me262A-2a seems to be visually different from the ETC 503 pylon on the B-1a.

Not sure if this is reliable or not, but here we go.

Quote
[snip]...The first bomber units were Kommando Schenk, commanded by Major Wolfgang Schenk and formed from a detachment of KG51 and an experimental unit known as Kommando Edelweiss. The Me262A-3a had extra armour protection; the Me262A-5a was an armed reconnaissance variant with two MK108 cannon and two under-wing drop tanks. While the Me262A series had all been single-seat aircraft, there was obviously a requirement for a two-seat conversion trainer and this was met by the Me262B-1a....[/snip]

Looks to me as it was the 262-A5a, which is obviously not our model, that carried drop tanks under the wings, not the fuselage.

Oh man, organized attack runs with a bunch of 262's would be brutal...

Get in, drop ord, and get out before anyone can even get on the runway.
Half the people in this game can't dive a 262 without snapping the wings or wingtips off, what makes you think they'd do any better if the plane was diving with the extra weight of bombs hanging off them?

Still, it'd be interesting, especially the whole air-to-air rocket thing.  I say go for it, and let the wingtips fall where they may.
