Range counter in Meters or Feet?
« on: June 27, 2000, 09:43:00 PM »
Simple question, from a simple mind;  is the range counter (icon) measured in meters/yards or feet?  300-500 is the distance I go bang in, but I'd like to know what that represents other than "Thog close enough.  Kill.".

Yards.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

A yard is pretty close to a meter for those of you Euro types. You can substitute in meters if you like and I don't think you would be very far off.

You backwards americans will never learn
1 Yard = 91.45 cm  1 meter = 39 3/8 in.
If yur ina panzer and told "  Das ack ist 1000 " and you decide that is in yards as opposed to meters, You would be far off.
Then Citabria would come along and then shoot you with an AP round and the WHOLE attack would fail..and it would be YOUR fault..cause you tried to allow a meter as being the same as a Yard.
Of course this would only apply if we had the Sherman*hint hint* and the vehicles were in proper imperial or metric instruments.

I hope youve learnt your lesson here MISTER.
