Your Komet Bosco, a rocket?
Rocket assisted, yes. for power its got a Moki 1.80. G.55 has a G45, and so as the Spit. The P40 has a G62 and the Hellcat has a GT80.
Zenoah products are my absolute favorite powerplants for warbirds, as far as weight and power.
I have a Jug that has a G36 on it as well (Hangar9/ Horizon Hobby ARF)
my Hellcat is a Zirloi scratch kit and the P40/ Spitfire are Yellow Aircraft products. and the Komet is just a scracth kit that me and my Grandfather made.
The G.55 is a blown up plan, form the old RCU magazine, if some of you know that mag.

we fly on land that is deemed as non-residential due to proximity to a power plant... it is wide open, flat, and pretty much treeless.  we have a 750 foot paved runway, with a close cropped grass cross runway.. our field is incredible actually.  the photos are from an airshow we put on every year at the hamilton/fairfield Butler Co. Regional Airport.  (they shut the place down for the show!) Coincidentally, the same airport I fly "real" planes out of.

Zenoah engines are great for warbirds, but I primarily fly giant scale aerobatics.. and Desert Aircraft engines cannot be beat for light weight high power applications.

Might have to look around, don't think so.
Found one, but I don't know if its any closer. Messed around with it in photshop, so it has no engine.

I had a pile of planes (some of them ended up AS a pile :lol).  I had the most fun with helis though.  Here is a pic of my favorite.  Nexus 30 mechanics in a Funky 206L fuselage.

I build R/C planes, starting with a 36" wing span up to a 60" wing span.

ya.....

as much as i'd LOVE to have a scale plane like that, i just can't afford it. so i stick to the sport planes. they're much much cheaper to build, and maintain.

if you've never flown r/c before, go visit the club that's near ya. they;ll help you out. you need to join the AMA before you can join most clubs, then join the club, but that's easy.
most clubs will have people there that are all too happy to help new pilots learn.

as for an airplane, check out the hobbico superstar trainers. they have .60 size, and .40 size. both come with the engine and electronic already installed. all you need to do to that one is to charge the batteries, and about 20 minutes of assembly work.

do not try to fly it for yourself for it's first flight though. get an experienced pilot to tske it up and make sure it's trimmed right.

you'll have a blast. you'll find it a bit challengine, and incredible fun. it's also incredibly addictive too.

goods luck
