Mission editor suggestions...

1.  Ability to add a text message to waypoints that is displayed on the clipboard when that waypoint is clicked and in the chat buffer when a flight member reaches that waypoint.

2.  The ability to specify spawn directions from base, especially for vehicles.

3.  The ability to specify generic loadouts with no specific aircraft type for a flight so that people could choose whatever aircraft they want for a mission.  Ex:  Flight 1 is set as "Ground attack fighter."  Player 1 joins the flight, picks a p47 and is given a loadout of 2 1000 pounders and 10 rockets.  Player 2 joins the flight, picks a P38 and is given a loadout of 2 1000 pounders and 10 rockets, etc...

4.  Flight & Mission icon hilights.  A seperate color for players in your flight and players outside of your flight but involved in the mission.

Ever though what will happen if I take Spitfire or P51? They don't have this loadout, so you prob will have to make separate loadout for each plane.
In any case, when I design mission, I choose planes that I think better suited for a mission. Having same planes in the flight also helps maintaining formation flying.
To sum it all up, imagen following. I design a B17 bombing mission with P-51 escort and P-47 fighter sweep flights, and when taking of find that everyone grabbed short legged Spitfire for escort and papermade Zeke as fighter sweep plane. I don't what would have been your reaction, but I would be very upset with what happened to my mission.

Yeah, people might not take planes optimally suited for a particular job.  But if it is important to you as a mission planner to have them fly a particular plane, then pick a specific plane with specific loadout for a flight as opposed to a generic loadout with no plane specified.  I would just want to see that as an option for mission planners.

I think more people might get involved in missions if they had the option to take their ride of choice.

I'd really like to start flying in missions - been waiting for it - but every time I go into the arena, I find no missions - people usually say that the mission editor is porked.

Is it working, or not?

My impression is that it works with the latest patch.
Yesterday I noticed a couple of planned missions - didnt join as they involved a) panzers b) spits and hogs ;=)

The mission planner is a great feature.Lets hope people get the habit of checking the map room more often.

Or maybe the feature should be avalable in tower as well?
