Fire in the Philippines Frame 1 Scores
« on: August 10, 2008, 07:42:59 PM »
Well aside from the glaring issues, I hope everyone had a good time. The first major issue is of course the Drones on top of the Hangars. This is totally my fault, and I apologize to everyone it happened too. It is a two part problem. As an Admin CM I am supposed to test all the airfields and check the spawns.

Some of the Airfields on Luzon are custom Dirt Fields. The small dirt fields do not allow bombers to spawn from the Runway, Hangar only. Another part of the problem is that Bomber Drones can not spawn from Hangars. It's a game wide issue that is not terrain specific and one that I was not aware of.

Once again, I apologize to the Ki67 pilots who lost there drones on takeoff. We are going to eliminate this problem the easiest way I know how, disabling formations. This will also take care off the inability to re-arm issue as well.

I know I mentioned I would not be changing the planeset, but after I analyzed the logs I decided it might be better if it was modified. It appears that the so-called Kracken was released and The Army of Muppets with 9 N1Ks managed to down 28 Allied Aircraft, the 9 GIAP, also in 8 N1Ks claimed 17 Allied Aircraft (Only 3 N1Ks were lost). The Ki84's fared well too, 17 Ki84s managed to down 19 Allied Aircraft (Although the Allies claimed 11 Franks). In the hands of most pilots the both of these aircraft are formidable opponents, in the hands of the best FSO pilots, these aircraft became untouchable. I am therefore cutting there deployment numbers in half. Each aircraft will now have a limit of twelve.

I have also edited the Wind by removing all Wind below 14K.

0-14K  NO WIND
14-18K NW TO SE - Speed 15
18-24K N TO S - Speed 17
24-30K NE TO SW   - Speed 25
30K+   E TO W   - Speed 55

I would like to thank once again, MGD and the Nightmares and Wxman and the Arabian Knights for stepping forward on such short notice. So... We make some changes, and we move forward to Frame 2. Objectives will be sent out shortly to the 5th Air Force and the 353rd FG.

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Good Job JG 11.

Looks like the Axis was one big Kracken last Friday.

Sometimes I think that the inherent human need to whine was that created the idea of 'God'.  :lol
