I'm curious to know how the importance of strats in this setup will be combined with the rarity factor of heavy bombers...since only one side has them.
Where's my Do-217???

For the North Africa Campaign I will be sticking with just the tactical bombers, probably up to the B25 for the Allied and the Ju88 for the Axis, so the heavies will not come into play for this setup. I have some ideas for using the heavies in future setups, but most likely the strats will be a target for the Allies only(made very hard so only the heavies will make a dent) and the Axis will be tasked with defense only in regards to strats. I also plan on incorporating wind to some extent to make bombing even more of a challenge. But I really don't want to commit to anything until I see the North Africa setup play out. It will most definitely be a learning experience and I hope both sides will be open to modifications and changes in the middle of the setup.
We need to approach this first Campaign series with an open mind. The initial primary goal for ALL AvA players should not be to win the war, but assist with constructive feedback so a basic framework that is accommodating to many types of players is developed. I want to find what works. I want it to be fun, I want there to be good action, I want it to be balanced and I want it to have a historical "sense".
Patience, understanding, respect and constructive input will only benefit us all. <S>
I'm looking forward to this.
