A Political View
« on: August 11, 2008, 10:00:42 PM »
This was contained in a letter to the Advocates

Dear The Advocates,

I am a 13-year-old Texan and I have recently taken your World's Smallest
Political Quiz. I am amazed. It is unbelievable how such a short Quiz can tell
you so much! I have spread the word of your Quiz to dozens (most Libertarian or
Republican) including my former Democratic parents who now have found out they
are libertarians.

Although not many students my age are fascinated and as knowledgeable as me
about politics, I am and have gotten excited [about libertarian ideas].....  It
doesn't matter whether Libertarians "will not win," because if we believe like
that then our country will not change and we will not be like our founding
fathers intended America to be.
It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

Libertarian is all well and good until you realize that it means freedom.

Most people are scared to death of freedom and individual rights.  It sounds good to em till they have to live it... till they are told that no government is there to save them from themselves... or..  they can no longer control the actions of others.

Giving up the taking of money from others to give to themselves is hard too.
