Agreed with Sled here. This is a game, it is supposed to be fun, and escape from the stresses of the real world. People can disagree and debate but keep it civil and everyone stop taking personal pokes at each other. I am sure you get enough of that in real life and the last thing you need is more here in a game that is supposed to be fun.

Besides much more fun to talk about planes that we wished we had. Like the Beaufighter.

Sled should have said something to Nef then, his post was uncalled for and arrogant. I know Nef was probably just in a bad mood but Sled comming down on MGD seems to favor the guy that fired the 1st shot.

A simple explaination to MGD about his mistake would have been much more productive.

This is a good exchange of ideas, closing it would be a mistake.

To keep it on topic, the biggest holes in the planeset are early war Jap Army aircraft (Oscar, Nate), Betty, Early war Russian types (Mig, I16, Yak1) Early Italian (SM79 and an early fighter or 2)

The only problem is that these are all types that would get no use in the LW MA which seems to be where the money is.

Well I am not so sure anymore that the MA is where the money is. FSO is pulling in the mid to hi 400 players every 3 out of 4 Friday nights. That is a lot of people. Plus you do have those people also in AvA and EW (yes I know a few but talking about whole player base). So I think we actually have a decent player bases / portion that now do use planes not used in LW MA.

I agree with you that the early war Japanese and Russian plane set need to be filled out. The Japanese need land base bombers, the inclusion of the Betty would help immensly. Also the Ki-45 would be fun. But the Russian planeset has some massive holes in it which would be nice to see filled.

All good points GD, now how do we go about getting it done?

I love the FSO's and Scenerios and make every one that I can. To me, its the best that AH has and your right about the numbers, FSO routinely draws 500+ these days.

HT probably already knows that alot of people only maintain accounts for the express reason of participating in these events. I would imagine that we will be getting these planes sometime in the future.

What these posts will do is give the CM's an idea of what the SEA players want so that the CM Team can give HT a wish list of those aircraft that will most enhance the planeset with regard to SEA needs.

At this point the most important IMHO would be the Betty and Oscar. Hope we get them soon.
