Pelosi Is a flip flopper just like most democrates....Now that she sees that the majority wants off shore
drilling she will ok it....next she will say she was the pioneer of the idea. God, she is such a two faced witch!

ALL politicians flip flop.

it just depends on who you like, as far as who you notice doing it.

You have to love it, the demand goes down when the stuff gets exspensive. It almost seems like we were just buying gas because it was cheap. :huh

Shhhhh.
Be careful. A dose of reality might be too much for some to handle around here.

And your comment doesnt fit in with the typical rhetoric. Or spoon fed party line.

when it comes right down to it comrade...  How much do we really NEED anyway?   Soviet russians did without a whole lot of things.. like cars entirely and a home of their own.

We don't NEED to go on vacations or take a drive out into the country.   We don't NEED to visit relatives.

Even I flip flop. A few years ago I did not like fish much, but now i love it. I used to hate taxes, but now i dont. I was sure I would work until I was an old man, but here I am retired at 33. I change my opinion and stance on things all the time when i get new information that makes the old dated. Thank cod i have never made a statement to the press. They would have slaughtered me lol.

The point of this thread was to give a big  :salute to all who have changed their ways
on energy consumption. Hopefully the American people will continue to make saving energy
a life long plan! Hopefully some of the changes they have made to conserve will be a way of life
and not temporary. See what can happen when people come together to stop the madness?

The ball is now rolling with alternative energy sources. People have woken up to the fact that
we can use less oil and still have a happy life!  To hell with OPEC!!

People can be happy with less government too, let's give that a try.

kaw... I don't think you get the point at all.   I think that most of the people "learning to do with less" are not happy at all..   people in soviet russia and in the great depression learned to do with less.

Grinding the economy to a halt may not be a real good direction to go in.   Alternative energy will happen when it is ready and not before.  In the meantime.. we need to explore for and drill for more oil.   Nothing else comes close to meeting our need now or in the near future.

Somehow I have a feeling our demand for oil will go back up as soon as Lazs gets his Elky out of the paint shop.

I get the point...but can you see because prices of fuel went up so fast, It woke people up?
Can you see that now it has opened the eyes to many people that we need alternative energy.

If the fuel prices stayed low no one would have done anything. and when the price went to 10.00
a gallon it really would have been a major crisis...now that the ball is rolling that $10.00 a gallon
fuel will never happen here(Hopefully)

Reducing our consumption isn't necessarily the best answer. Becoming self sufficient is.

Oil prices falling and Bush lifting the ban not mentioned once?  Wow, guess he didn't do anything to help.
