Fellas,
Somehow someway I don't have Direct3D functions. I have a GeForce 8800GT extreme gamer vid card 512MB. I saw this when I was running a directX diag tool. I can not figure out how I lost this utility or how to get it back. Any help is mucho appreciated.
Thanks

I uninstalled and reinstalled drivers from Nvidia website. I then ran a dxdiag check and I now see Direct3D acceleration enabled. Before I did this it said I did not have Direct3d. I'm confused but it seems to be working for now.

Usually when this happens, reinstalling your video drivers fixes the problem. Sometimes, for whatever reasons, drivers become corrupt and stuff like this happens.

That kind of problem can happen if you have an anti-virus program running when you download and/or install drivers as well.
