Turbulance from other aircraft..... Is it modelled?
« on: August 04, 2001, 07:02:00 AM »
Hi All,
 Just a quickie,
Is the turbulance you would encounter when following another plane closely modelled? I only ask because I have never noticed it, even when part of a large formation, and would have thought with all the effort which has gone into wind layers, ammo ballistics, trajectories etc it would be something which would be there.

Thanks

Simply can't wait to play the game you design and publish minus.

I'm sure it will model every single aspect of flight in excruciatingly perfect detail and will be released with all of those things present in the first release.

Can I get in the beta?

Wait... won't need a beta right? It'll be perfect first time out. Silly me.

Yeah, Staga. Guess you're right. When I don't have my morning coffee (caffein's a drug, right?) the continual whiners that contribute nothing but complaints to the board sometimes get on my nerves.

I'll try to understand how "even not a simgle reply , they big fighter pilots not intereset on it" hurt minus so deeply.

Those darn big fighter pilots! Maybe I should hate those guys! Of all the seventy-two million+ aspects of flight, aircraft and air combat, they choose THAT one to ignore! Man, the nerve!

Oh... wait... this is a GAME!

Nevermind.

Sorry, minus... in '88 I was already living the good life.

Hey.. guess what... we don't have RAIN in AH either! Hope I didn't ruin your day.

Staga,

Didn't make any comment about his life at all.

Wow 10 replies,
Falling over myself to open the thread and and read some objective comments I find a "slanging" match going on.  :(

Hey guys lighten up, it was a simple enough question....

A simple yes or no would have kept me happy.  ;)

The question is interesting. If I am not betrayed by my fantasy (lol!), MiG Alley had it implemented.

I do not believe prop wash (turbulance from other airplanes) is modelled in any way, shape or form.

btw, drugs do not make you dumb. Ignorance makes you dumb.

While I know little about turbulence and backwash or whatever ya'll call it from the prop, I have noticed that herb will make me forget someone's IP before I can get back to desktop and type it into RW. I am think it time to lay off. Drug cause dain bramage.

im serious about the IP thing too...

keep that in mind all you youngsters....

im only 29 ! ! ! !

oh...turbulence would be cool addition, as would the ability to hear other planes as they pass (like fighter ace II).
