So we went to the Doctor today....

Well we've been to see three doctors so far, today was the fourth. Sarah is classified as a high risk pregnancy because of her chronic hypertension.
So far things are good, but the situation just got interesting. According to the latest ultrasound, we could be expecting TWINS! :rock

Thats terrific news. Your first?

My advice? Buy a video camera. I first got into video when my kid was born and now I have an entire library of his life. X-mas's, birthdays, ball games, trips to the zoo, you name it. The time flys.

No, Sarah and I have been through this twice before, our first died during birth :( and Brianna just turned two a couple of months ago :D.
It's going to be tricky, we are staying positive even though we know the odds are against us.:)
If we can get past the first 12 weeks things will begin to look better for the babies, the risk for Sarah begins to increase dramatically though so we will have to be especially careful with twins on board.
The most likely scenario is an early C-section and an extended stay in the NICU for the babies. Brianna was delivered 6 weeks early by emergency C-Section so we know what we're in for.

We had twins after we lost our first, and the Wife went the full 40 to the day. Make it past 28 weeks and the rest is gravy

WTG sir, i am the proud father of 8 yr old Twins, ( Boy and a Girl)
All i can say is that its a blast, think of it this way, if you wanted 2 kids you only have to deal with diapers and formula one time  :D  ( Oh yea, you will also have to buy 2 cars when they drive and 2 college educations at the same time  :D)

Seriously though ,  I hope the Mrs. checks out ok and everyone is healthy and happy   :salute

I wish you and your wife all the blessings. I lost my son during birth 12 years ago.  :( The result of a twin pregnancy.  It was difficult at best. God Bless
