300 ft giga-coasters are so 2003 :)

Quote
Kingda Ka is a roller coaster located at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson Township, New Jersey, USA. At its opening on May 21, 2005, it became the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world, claiming the title from Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point. The train is launched by a hydraulic launch mechanism to 128 miles per hour (206 km/h) in 3.5 seconds.[1] At the end of the launch track, the train climbs the main top hat tower reaching a height of 456 feet (139.5 m).[2] Due to aviation safety concerns, the tower is equipped with three dual strobes: 2 mid-way up, and one on the top.

Do they still have the Mr. Freeze there? That was one wild ride.

The six flags in maryland has a better coaster then all of the ones at cedar point because none of them are like it. Its called the "Batwing", its a laydown coaster and is really fun, they also have the "Joker Jinxs" which does 0-70 in 3 seconds or something like that. I belive the superman they have is 220 feet tall with a crazy turn which is pretty fun, dos incredible amount of gs

I love going to 6 flags because I'm in a wheelchair, so me & 3 other people don't have to wait in lines, we get to go up the exit and get right on, we even get to choose where we want to sit.  We can only ride each ride once every 2 hours here at 6 flags Great America near Chicago, but by times you ride each coaster once your back were you started and it's been atleast 2 hours, so in a day I usually can ride about 20-25 times.

Now when I use to goto 6 flags Astroworld in Houston we were allowed to ride the coaster anytime we wanted with no time limits, they would even ask after we rode a coaster if we would want to go again before we got off, but from what I've heard Astroworld isn't in Houston anymore, which if true I have no idea why.

I've been to Carowinds, King's Dominion, Busch Gardens (Virginia and Florida), Six Flags (Gerorgia, Maryland, and NJ), Hersheypark, DisneyWorld, Universal Studios, and Cedar Point.

Cedar Point far surpassed them all.

Six Flags over Houston doesn't exist anymore :(

It's now a parking lot for Reliant Stadium, and the rides were either moved to other parks or sold for scrap :( A bunch of the props, like The Penguin's rubbery ducky ATV from whatever Batman movie it was... were all auctioned off.

Do you know why Astroworld was closed?  I mean was attendance low, or did Reliant Stadium just need the parking that bad that they made them a really good offer on the property?  Because when I was there it always seemed to be crowded and it was right in the middle of a large metropolitan area.

Any place that can be bulldozed into a parking lot can't be much of a theme park.  I mean, the parking lots at Cedar Point are probably bigger than the parking lots at Reliant Stadium...

I always thought Astroworld was a great theme park, it had alot of cool roller coasters there.  Plus the place was quite large, it was not only a regular 6 Flags theme park, they also had a 6 Flags water park there called Waterworld.

property value was worth more than what they were making. Low attendance was caused by the thugs that showed up there, twice i was there someone got stabbed. wasn't a safe place for families any more.

I had heard something like that, about how after Katrina and all the gangsters from New Orleans being housed in the Astrodome it's parking lot, right across the street from Astroworld.
