Agreed,

Hammy outstanding work on the battle plan. I know it was your first time doing this. Your plan was well thought out, the orders were simple, effective, and to the point.
Well Done sir. In fact I'd like to thank all the 353rd for the communication this week concerning the orders. Much appreciated guys.<S>

Thanks
The work was equally shared by several in the 353rd, led by Jaxxon.  :aok Nefarious was an excellent asset as well. Part of my duties was being the messanger which made it look like I was alone. Far from it.  We had a great time and got a good education in the process.

Thanks again.

It was an quite an experience. I honestly never really thought I'd be asked to be a CiC for one of these things and I was apprehensive going into it. I think Hamblue and myself logged 12 hours on TS hammering out the details while Flatiron did leg work.
I'm not really clear on what happened with C78, we thought it was a CV. In the end the squads assigned to sink C79 completed the mission  :rock
There were a couple of things I didn't know about like being able to control a carrier group as a CiC. When I found out I was able to it was too late and since I play the game as a pilot I didn't know how to do it anyway
It was very educational and I'm happy that at least some of you had a good time.

To Stoney74, it felt taking on the big guy in the school yard going up against you.  :salute Good fight.

Well done guys. It is always a bit of pressure to CiC one of the FSO's.  Glad it went well. :)

VMF-251 got flat-out overwhelmed while escorting Fate's heavy F6Fs. We opted to stay with the strike force while Damned proceeded with the orders as written due to the small size of the strike (only four TBMs from Skyknights, and Fate had maybe 8 F6Fs). The decision more or less paid off, as we ran into a LARGE group of enemy fighters (mixed Ki-61s and Ki-84s) right along the strike package's inbound route. The Bucs were able to hold them off long enough for Fate to get through to target, but we were outnumbered at least 2-3 to 1 with an equal starting altitude, so despite a hard fight we didn't last very long. We only got 6 for the loss of our ten Hellcats, but I'm confident had the numbers been more evenly matched or we had the positional advantage we'd have survived, even against the Ki-84s (I think all but one of our kills was a Frank).
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

The Muppets met a large group of hellcats above us on our way to patrol the south.  They engaged playing their alt well.  We were definitely struggling to keep everybody abreast of 6 calls and the likes but managed to get about 10 of them.  We lost 4, one to ripped wings, lolz.  The other 8 hellcats were staying high 6 trailing us.  We needed to head a little more south so we were trying to make our way down there, but the hellcats kept coming in on us.  So we duked it out with them and killed or rtb'd the lot of them.  I think we got 15 total, but we lost the 4 squaddies.  I disco's landing at the end of the frame..... :(

Great fun for all of us, and thanks for the effort of the planners. :salute

13th Mpg took off 16 zeke's from a15.  Headed for rally point to meet up with other escorts and the friendly bombers.  None of the escorts made it to the bombers before a batch of fm2's dove into the bombers. We painfully watched as the friendly bombers were attacked.  Not very good when the entire  escort group was behind the bombers. Wasnt cause we didnt try, we were going fast as we could.  We wound up with seven kills and a couple of bad landings on dirt runways. Had alot of fun, thanks special events team for the event.. All due respect there Hamblue but you mostly... ok not mostly but indeed cut and pasted the orders that Sim wrote for me the week before.  A shout out to SIM might be nice :)

Well, it was a very enjoyable frame.  Nef always sets up a good event.  Nice job on your Rookie frame.

Thanks to the Axis squads.  They were able to fight through the confusion caused by my delayed and error-filled orders.
