P.S. The "private fight" argument goes out the window when your "private fight" is a large group vs a large group. When you've got 30 GVs on the ground in one area it's no longer private and it's no longer a fight. It's a battle. Where you hold it really doesn't change that.

I don't agree with this.  The DA is a "Dueling Arena" - a place to set up duels; even if that duel is between 30 people.  If someone goes out of their way to fly over to a GV-only area and disrupt this duel, they should get booted.

It's the mentality of the H2H DA Queens that keep me out of the DA.  I'll stay in the MA, TA and SEA where at least there's a little bit less of this kind of mentality.

And why am I not surprised to find personal insults from a guy who knows the context behind that quote, and still tries to misconstrue it.

I'd have PMed you this but I know you have a habit of sharing private messages with others. Thought I'd save you the trouble.

your wrong again, its a "Club" not just a big GV battle. people thoguht this up, and have had people come to do battle in tanks, not planes to bomb GVs or strafe them.
I think you should refer to the Topic "Tank KluB is finished" if you havn't already.

Nice try Krusty ... here we go ... your gonna try and wrangle any angle to try and prove a losing point and make a fool of yourself ... I guess some things never change.

A "private" duel in the DA does not carry the requirement of just 1 v 1 ... these guys set up a GV vs GV ONLY battle in the GV DA area ... where it would be expected, by design, that only GV on GV battles would take place without interruption from something other than a GV.

Krusty I've never seen you actualy insist on a point that's 100% inarguably bogus.. This one is it though.
Do you really think there ought to be an event set up with official staff on hand to make the fight private?  Do you have to have it spelled out in capital letters on a billboard, like an MOTD upon entrance in an arena?  Is "Tank club" not explicit and clear enough?

take your friends advice, give it up. You had no clue what goes on there.

In fact it seems many of you don't know what TANK KLUB was.

Sloehand was the moderator and organizer. He planned certain games for us to play using GV's.

Some of my favorites were:

Joust
... 3-4 tanks roll at each other staying within certain boundary's and can not stop to fire. They must always be moving.

Jeep Relay races were set up using 10 to 15 teams with 3 or four players each

Jeep track races... all out mayhem around a designated route

Small group of Tigers defend town against many incoming T34's... very cool

Forgot name but tanks enter town and last man standing sort of game.

First team to destroy certain buildings in town and protect others wins...very hard to find some of the buildings and easy to get killed if your not watching.

So you see, it was mostly group games he devised for us to play and have fun. He had as many as 30 or more people involved and spent his own time organizing it. The people who came enjoyed themselves and the people who bombed the Klub came from an air base far away. Their only intention was to destroying a good thing. The Klub had been gathering every Sunday at the same time for weeks.. they knew it was happening and came for them.

I think, a word from the people that their word actually counts could help solve this and tomorrows DA issues.  It is a simple question really.

Is this behavior allowed in the DA?  Is it OK to interrupt fights repeatedly and after being repeatedly asked to stop?
A)  Yes
B)   No
C)  We don't care one way or another

If the answer is yes, please explain what the penalty if any will be for continuing such behavior.

Thank you

come on guys, if you knew krusty as i do you would realise he just likes to find a point, or fabricate a point and then stick to it. I have to admire his commitment. Even with the best movies he will manage to find a critical angle of some kind, it is just his nature. Confrontation is what he thrives on even when there is nothing to confront, just give him a smile and a wave, trying to validate your point against his, however insane his point, is like a red rag to a bull, you all know that.

and in this case i know for a fact that petty purse swinging has been done by both tank klub members and the griefers, its a silly way to carry on indeed but this thread tries to suggest that tank klub members did nothing to provoke said griefers, which is not possible to determine. My instinct tells me someone pissed tachyon off for him to do this, and if they didnt piss him offf then they whined so hard he had to do it again to hear the squeals. Sloehand has my undying respect and what he does for tanker is great, but not every member of that tank klub is as innocent of griefing as this thread would have us understand.
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

Mechanic, Tank Klub games are held in the lower left hand side of the huge DA map. It is a designated Tank only area, It throws no dar and their only intention was to disrupt it with bombs. Nothing more and nothing less. They were asked not to fly there and that proved to be mistake since they knew no one could stop them.

Fortunately the games will continue in the SEA because of this and in a way turned out to be a good thing.

Zero's used to be Spacy's ride only until he found the Temp. Now that's his primary ride and he does nothing but pick ho and run with it. I go there to hunt him and all temps because of it :D
When did he pick up the Temp? Unless it's been in the past 4 daysish where I've been waiting for HTC to check his mail... he still flies the zeke...

Shakey is below average but an "A" for effort...ho's everything in sight and dies often but i like him. Crazy is the same but no "A" for effort and can get pwnd by Shakey Any Day.
Shakey's been playing for about 6 months now, so I'm talking about for the ammount of time he's been playing, he's shot through the roof skill wise... I remember back when he first started... HOing a b25 in a zeke.... 75mm nose gun... matter cannot be created or destroyed my arse :D

The Aerofighters MO is:
Drag them in and Stay Close to your base. Once you die come off the hill and gang who's left and wait for more to come back ((TO YOU)), rinse and repeat. IMO, DRdeathx organized you all to stick together and fly that way many months ago.  When you do leave your base you leave in a horde, climb high and hover over the BISH base but never Knit for some reason. Sometimes you'll even organize missions   bringing bombs and rockets for that base as well. Not what the DA is for.
We go to the fight, we don't let the fight come to us, join us on vox one day, come fly with us, once you get in game and theres enough of us on (3ish?) ask me (Triggy2) for the vox and I'll PM it to you. We don't "bomb"... we've had one of our guys get chewed out for it once as he brought lancs over to level the FH's cause he was getting sick and tired of Tachyon... we let him know that's not the way to go around it.

On any given night you can go into the DA and you'll find at least 12 guys doing just what I described, (all hovering near their base), Most every night Rooks have a 2 to 1 advantage and even though, still will not get out of their temp's.
As I mentioned... I fly p38's/mossy's/p47d-25's/when I get a bit annoyed, a Spitfire mk XVI or IX/when I'm tired of getting vulched by nits, I'll hop in a temp...and every now and then I'll jump in a zeke, and the majority of us fly corsairs, and zekes.

On top of that, The Areo's have had More Players Booted for running outside programs than any other squad I've ever seen. It's the same ole H2H crap IMO
I'd like to see this statement backed up...as I don't know of any h2h'rs in the ranks of us booted for it...

TA57, juicy yourself and maybe one other guy are good 1 vs 1 flyers  if given the chance  but normally All TA's Are There To Gang...Same with the other large rook ganger squad, the Wobblin Gobbins. You guys never leave each others side.
Yeah, we wing up, and we watch over our own...if I see dragdad in a P51 with a spitfire workin him over, yeah, I'm gonna go save a squadies butt, and you can't tell me you wouldn't do the same to a sqadie and a friend, we fly in 2's, sometimes 3's but we don't "gang"... we've talked about it in our forums and we work to avoid it...

The DA used to be fun as described in a previous post. You H2H DA only guys have overrun and ruined what that arena used to be like and hate seeing us MA guys come in and ruin your fun.
:rofl alright, if nothing else, the 17th Air Warriors vs the 55th VelociRaptors match (17th was a h2h squad...) with the 17th beating the velociraptors without loss of a single base should be enough to show that we held our own back then too, we aren't quite the ones that "overrun" it, if you look at it, I guess at most I've seen 5 old h2h'rs in there at once, the rest are mostly new guys, and greifers, and some skilled pilots, sorry to say, but, can't pin this one on us, the majority of us perfer the MA still.

In the end, once the TA's are getting their ack handed to them or are out #'ed they leave, and thats an absolute fact.
Nah, we don't care, we're out to have fun, when we get enough people on though (usually about 7-10) we leave the lake to KEEP from over-numbering too much and move it to the canyons, TAvsTA, I guess if you'd like we call all "get in our tempest, and gang everyone close to our base" wait... here's an idea! If you don't wanna get hit close to our base, by aerofighters ON TAKE OFF, then don't fly near it.

PROOF of TA GangTards

PROOF of us hugging our base... (notice the astronauts IB to vulch...)

And we ALL fly temps.

Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life really are: You only
need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the
WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Trigg your lying to yourself. I have plenty of experience with the TA's. The majority of you Don't switch and just because a couple of you have switched because out #ed once or twice in the distant past  , don't count. You and TA57 are the only two I ever seen switch and it's rare.

That is fortunate and i'm thrilled you will have fun without people ruining it. I'm not against tank klub one bit, if people have fun its great. What i am suggesting to you good people is that, already explained by a tank klub member, there are many members in tank klub and while 95% of you may be respectfull to others all it would take is one bragging member to bring unwanted attention, unbeknown to the rest of you, and this type of thing will happen. I'm not pointing any fingers or declaring inside knoledge of this situation, what i'm saying is i find it hard to believe tachyon, or anyone, would do this with no provocation at all. If there was absolutely no provocation then how did he even known tank klub existed?
If Edward Norton and Brad Pitt taught us anything, it is that the first rule os tank klub is we do not talk about tank klub.  ;)

And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

It's not a secret thing.  The vox channel is announced on all of the threads in advance... and MA announcements are made, including vox channel.  He was, indeed, just being an interrupter without provocation.

Shakey pwns in the corsairs

I am sorry but I would disagree with this...it seems he gets lost in the open air around him when he tries to fight.
