I know I'm going to be very sick doing this, but I've got to disagree with people's comments that adjust game sounds down is 'gamey', at least by the definition I think of.  I guess this sort of means I'm agreeing with BiPuke.  God I hope not, but maybe.

Anyway, HiTech specifically put in extensive controls to adjust and modify game sounds to suit the individual player, including turning them all the way down.  For my part, I need some small sound feedback so no sounds are all the way off, but many, such as the ones mentioned, are turned way down.

It's smart.  I was intended by the game creator for players to do this, and it's easily available to everyone, so I don't consider that 'gamey'.  Further, I have a some hearing impairment and certain sounds and some decibels are more distruptive for me than the average hearing person.  So this helps me be able to hear what's going on and play as well in GV's as others.

Just my two Kopeks on the topic.

The giraffes don't reach full height here in Texas Lusche. I think it's something in the water. Or maybe it's the beer. That's it. I've noticed I only see our pygmy giraffes where beer is at hand.

Gonna have to agree with ya there Sloe.  I don't turn the sounds all the way down mainly so I can tell if my engine is still running.  That way I am not the one out there saying "My engine IS off!".  Due to many years behind heavy equipment, I also have a hard time differentiating some sounds from others.  Thus, I can turn some up, and turn some down.  If it was a way to "game the game", it would not be so readily available to everyone.

ALL the top GVers do it. And if they said they didnt. Well theyre lying.

Turning external sound down is gamey.  I'm usually in the top 20 GVers.  I don't turn them down and I'm not lying.

top 20 means top 20 milker.
means nothing to me.
Example: dr7 isnt even in the top hundreds or whatever and hes a beast in a GV. One of the best ever

Bipolar, you seem the perfect player to try this 'Tactic' out.
