just had an idea about the mission planner

Was wandering semi-aimlessly in the general direction of work this morning, when I happened upon what I think could be a nice feature to add to the mission planner.  The ability for the CO of the mission to set the icon color (GUI) of the individual flights in the mission.  This would override the default GUI of each participant for the duration of the mission till they are shot down, replane, etc.  

I think this could help individual flights form up, stick together and could improve organization in a mission.  If for example there was a strat raid/escort mission you could have a 4 plane "white flight" of p51's who's icons were seen by all mission participants as a white icon and thus they could stick together a little better and it would be easier to find your place in the mission.  

Anywho just another one of my hairbrained schemes thought I'd toss it out there and see what the community/HTC think of it if it hasn't been thought of allready.

The main advantage of user adjustable icon colors is to allow each player to set up for optimum visibility.  This is especially important for people with some form of color blindness.

Allowing the mission planner to set icon colors just might make them invisible to some player(s).

I vote no.
