That's right! The very next TanK KluB event, this Sunday, WILL BE HELD IN THE SPECIAL EVENTS ARENA.

4440 has offered to host this first event for us.

I will be adapting two tank game concepts to play in the SEA, using the wonderful expanse of terrain options to make them a little larger, more involved and I hope, enjoyable. I expect both of these to take roughly an hour each to complete for a full, 2-hour TanK Klub.
HOWEVER!!! The move to the SEA is going to require some changes, both to setup and the participation by the players.
First, this will now start to operate (at least when we're in the SEA) more like a Snapshot or FSO event, in that there is some advance organization is needed by the players. Not quite so much with this first one, but if we get into larger and more involved battles, we will probably have to go to some time of pre-registration for the big ones.
But right now, I need two CinC's, one to lead the Blue Force and one for the Red Force. We will determine later a way to fairly rotate people into the leadership role, but for now I need two veteran tankers to step up to lead and get this started.
It will be the CinC's responsibility to show up early (like 30 min. before the start) to:
. assign the right number of people to available tank types
. assign secondary or group leaders
. determine battle strategy and tactics
. assign objectives and issue marching orders
. maintain the good order of their side
It will be also be the players responsibilty to show up BEFORE the usual TanK Klub time to participate. I would suggest at least 15 minutes before the hour. The first game will start PRECISELY AT 4:00 PM PACIFIC TIME. Therefore, if you show up late, the fields will already be closed (and the CM won't re-open them) and you'll have to wait until the second game starts about an hour later.
FYI - the first game is called C&C Assault (Command & Control), for lack of a better name. Four closely adjacent cities (and I mean right next to each other making for one BIG city) must be attacked and specific buildings representing the enemies Command & Control facilities must be destroyed. Multiple spawns, approach routes, defensive positions, etc.
The second game is called Rearguard Action (LGay pilots need not apply

), depicting a running battle for life against huge odds, but with growing support and re-enforcement as the battle progresses.
This is what we've been waiting for. We need a big turnout to justify making this a regular SEA event and getting a regular place on the SEA calendar.
EVERYONE is welcome to come an try this out if you haven't already. Just show up early, please.
Prospective CinC's can contact me here, or better, via PM.
TanK KluB! In the SEA! This Sunday. First Game start time 4pm Pacific/7pm Eastern.
P.S. I will be posting the Battle Plans for the two games somewhere before Sunday and prvide a link. CinC's should definitely review, as can others, once they are up.
