308 Sqn Spitfire Crash Feb 1942
« on: August 19, 2008, 08:46:05 PM »
I thought you guys in AH2 308 Squadron would find this page interesting. I was just looking around on my old home town web site and found this report of a 308 Sqn Spit Vb crash back in 1942.

Hope you enjoy.

Might also want to link to this page, or at least 308 Sqn. page.

The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

It's Polish.   I'm of Polish decent and have started to relearn the language that was used around me growing up.

Good on you! My mother-in-law is Czech; when she came here in 1940, she was on the boat with and 'adopted' by a group of refugee poles... been family friends; considered as relatives, as long as I can remember. Good people.. fierce, determined, honest and the kind of folks that make me proud... during the Polish Revolution (walesa) they showed me a thing or two about being Americans too.

..and the best damn sausages I've ever had. ;)
