Campaign Series Coming to AvA

Just wanted to give a heads up that a new type of setup is going to be tried in the AvA.  The exact details are being finalized but it is based upon the idea in this thread:

Hopefully we will be all set to start this Sunday August 24th.  It will last three weeks, will an "evolving" planeset that is updated each week.  There is no need to sign-up for anything it is just an open arena like the MA but with a limited, somewhat historical planeset.  The setup is geared towards being a blend of the MA, Old AvA and Special Events.  There are side specific (Axis/Allied) private forums that you are welcome to join( please pick one though    ) but again it is not necessary to join to participate in the arena.  We do ask though if you do join a side forum that you stick with that side for the 3 weeks the setup is running.  If you would like to have the opportunity to switch back and forth from Allied to Axis just don't join a forum. 

So if you are looking to play in an arena with greater historical aspect, but keeping the action and land grabbing of the MA.  Along with the mission style objectives of a Special Event please come take a look at the AvA next week.   Constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated.

EDIT:  Forgot to mention that we will be using the brand new Tunisia Map, something you will not see outside of the SEA.

BTW he did averaged 15 rounds per kill. Had many records that yet to be broken.

Nope, I'm more of the Jochen as my hero type. 109 are fun ! I once read a book about Jochen, when I was a kid. In that book he described how he aim. Since Air Warrior days, I've been trying to aim like he did. To my suprise it works really good. In the book I read, he described his aiming goes something like, as he pull lead, he would fire as soon as the enemy plane goes right under his nose and out of his view. I think he does this when he's around 200-400 yards of his enemy.

If you try it, it really works. I haven't got it down yet. Majority of my D9 kills are around 20-27 rounds per kill. I really don't know but I did the math. I usually have 10 kills in D9 by the time I have 250 cannon rounds left. So it comes out to be around 20ish ? I spent a lot of time studying his tactics. I try to deploy it and it works pretty well in BnZ.

Big fan of Marseille too.  I really love the N. Africa battles, having this awesome new map just makes it incredible. <S>  Look forward to seeing you guys in the AvA.
