Man, I own Empire of the Sun, I never knew or noticed rather, that James was Christian Bale.

That Ore-Kimi movie looks like its worth owning, thanks for the videos.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

I would agree only if the Nimitz had been allowed to attack the Japanese fleet. It was good in its day though.

He also wasnt killed by Brown never flew a D7 hated Goering loved his wingman (Voss) but seldom flew with him which was odd and he was a terrible pilot. The only reason von R lasted as long as he did were the Dicta Boelcke his aristocracy his shooting ability and the fact that flying was in its infancy. He was courageous I will give him that. He would have been scrubbed in WWII luftwaffe training. About the only thing this movie (von R and Brown) had going for it were the air scenes and most of that inaccurate.

My only problem with this movie.

If that kid had been in the camp since the beginnig of the war, just how did he ever know what a P-51 was?  With that in mind, he should have never even heard of one.

IIRC, they managed to get old magazines.

Re: Empire of the Sun... I used to SWEAR that little kid was a grown woman playing the role of a little boy. Turns out it's actually Christian Bale.

Who knew?!

I seem to remember him scrounging a discarded magazine article with a North American ad in it. This movie was hard for me to watch on a number of levels (one being the cruelty the Japanese inflicted on my spouses family) but there were redeeming moments to it (the P51 pilot waving for one).

My heart felt overwhelming joy to see the Zero explode!  :D

The Blue Max was a great WWI aviation film - recommend that if you have never seen it.  Like Flyboys without Pearl Harbour influence, more true to history and real aeroplanes.

And to think that kid grew up to be Batman. It is a great scene although I have always loved this.     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXf1bhEEXd0
