Fournier's analysis today was dead on.  This is a sign of weakness and that Obama is now apparently listening too much to the snivelling little weazels advising him. He should stay on the course he set out on a year ago.  Too late now.  We're witnessing the self destruction of the Messiah.

Good pick.  Biden covers his weakness on foreign policy.  To bad he can't pick another 6 VP's to cover all his other weakness'.  (Image removed from quote.)

Im guessing Biden's strengths lay in places other than Iraq
Quote
[Biden]said yesterday that he believes top officials in the Bush administration have privately concluded they have lost Iraq and are simply trying to postpone disaster so the next president will “be the guy landing helicopters inside the Green Zone, taking people off the roof,” in a chaotic withdrawal reminiscent of Vietnam.

“I have reached the tentative conclusion that a significant portion of this administration, maybe even including the vice president, believes Iraq is lost,” Biden said. “They have no answer to deal with how badly they have screwed it up. I am not being facetious now. Therefore, the best thing to do is keep it from totally collapsing on your watch and hand it off to the next guy — literally, not figuratively

What Biden most often proposed, before success in Iraq became to large to hide anymore--was to slice Iraq up into 3 autonomous 'mini'-countries, something Iraqis universally dislike. I don't want someone with this mindset running our country

I think democrats are like women, shrill and impatient...

I did a little paraphrasing, but that statement is pretty much on the money.
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Anyone know how the title of the thread got changed without me doing it, and there not being an edit message in my OP?

I mean if Skuzzy did it wouldn't there have been an edit message?

The subject was originally 'Obama's running mate is...' or something like that.
If a message is edited within... I forget how many (I think it's 2-5) minutes after the message is posted there is no edit message under it.

Yeah but I had checked it within the 2 mins after I posted and it was still the same, it was changed well after the first 2min of the post, thats what makes it weird.

And the original title of the post was "Obamas VP is..."

Looks like Skuzzy merged my thread with yours and kept my cooler thread title.

Remember Folks,

Osama Bin Biden - er Biden was the guy who actually crafted/wrote the old Clinton Gun ban (aka Crime Bill aka Clinton Assault Weapon Ban).

A vote for those two clowns = a vote against the Constitution.

I wish there was a way to do a poll here. I'd like to know how many Republicans like the fact Obama chose Biden for VP, and how many Democrats like it. I really don't get the choice. As I remember the primary season started with Biden being called racist for his assessment of Obama as being "clean and articulate." As a Republican, I can't think of another person Obama could have chosen that would have made me happier ( other than his hut dwelling brother, George).

How do Democrats feel about the choice? I know in the end the VP won't make a difference, but do you think he could have made a better choice for his campaign? I really don't understand the logic behind his choice, i.e., choosing a person who described Obama unready to be President, voted for the war in Iraq, and said he would run on the same ticket as John McCain, supported the bankruptcy overhaul of 2005 (making it harder to claim bankruptcy, and putting Biden in bed with the credit card companies), a Washington insider, recipient of lobbyist money etc.  It seems absurd.

I'm honestly wondering if Obama is as dumb as I say he is

Biden was a good pick for Obama, after what happened to John Edwards, Biden is the only person who can sound stupider than Obama
