The XA-38 was a powerful twin-engined attack aircraft. It had clean lines and powerful engines, impressive performance and excellent handling. A 75mm T15E1 cannon protruded from the nose. Two fixed machineguns were also in the nose, four more were in two remote-controlled turrets. But when the A-38 was ready there was little need for more attack aircraft, and the B-29 had priority for R-3350 engines. Only four XA-38s were built.

You're never going to get an aircraft designated with an X or Y (XA, YB, etc.)
Means they were experimental and never went into production.

indeed this is a weird plane and many don't know about it ,but may i say this plane dominates.in the nose of the plane is 1 75mm cannon(a tad bit bigger than the shermans cannon) and 2 12.7 machine guns and on each wing 2 more.....and don't forget about bomb payload witch totals..... 1,070 kg alot for a plane classified as a attack aircraft even though only 4 were made (do to it being released in late 1944) . I think it is worthy of being put on next update.

Few care about what 'owns'. Only four were built and it never saw combat.

More people care about planes that were historically important and whatnot... like the He111, Ki43, Ju52, Yak1, 7, and 3, Pe2, etc.

listen just because it was an experimental plane doesn't mean it wasn't in ww2... think of the sr-71
Black Bird it wasnt anounced to public until mid 60's but was first flown in the early to mid 50's therefore it was created in 50's not 60's ...this plane was made in 1944 but wasn't announced until after ww2 but it was first flown in 1944 therefore in was in ww2!

Actually it wasn't flown in combat in WWII. BTW the SR71 wasn't put into service until 1964.

excactly evreyone knows those planes high tech creations need to add stuff people dont know so they can learn all the smaller planes in ww2

ummm yea it was and the sr-71 might of been in milatary in 64 but it was first created and first flown by test pilots in 50's

Just FYI we already have a bomber with a 75mm in the nose. In fact, the B25H we have has a heavier armament than the XA38.

fine lets say ur right about sr-71 they should add less popular planes so we can learn like some of the less popular bombers and fighters....any who i gona go to bed its 1:30 we will continue tmmrw afternoon.

Actually the maiden flight was on April 25 1962.

That was the A-12, the predecessor to the SR-71.  First flight of an SR-71 took place on 22 December 1964, at Air Force Plant 42 in Palmdale, California.
